Not really, that's a bit different. To repair a PC track or a window demister you can get away with a silver paint rather than a glue. For reasons which I do not pretend to understand this is a lot cheaper. Unfortunately it is a fundamentally different problem: if you wish to securely attach to each other two different bits you really need a glue (or soldering, brazing, or welding).

If there are lugs, use a heat sink to reduce the heat travelling to the battery. Anything that will clip below were you are soldering will do, snipe nose pliers using elastic bands to hold the jaws shut will do nicely.!
