House now sold.
The old Stingo now sold (well, the deposit has been paid and the terms of sale agreed - we both just need to sign on the dotted line now)
Flat now sold (subject to a mortgage)
Accepted an offer on my business yesterday - just need to finalise the sale agreement.

Stingo II's snag list is less than a page long, so things are starting to look good for an imminent departure for a few more years of cruising.

WHAAAHOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

Well Hurrah John, this looks like its forming up nicely for you. Pity I couldnt get to buy Stingo, but thats life.
Now all you need is a piece of crumpet to keep you warm on those cold nights.
Will you be issuing tcm like calls for crew to exotic locations? Nah, you'll do it on your again I guess.

Great news, wish you well

Congratulations Stingo.

Out in Lagos, we meet numerous visitors who say "you are so lucky being out here, we'd love to do it but we couldnt make the break from the business etc etc".

You have actually done it, "walked the walk" as opposed to "talked the talk".

And good luck to you too Stingo - enjoy it.

Sorry. Will start scribing again once I am afloat again. Am still working 12 - 15 hours per day, six days a week and will be for the next two months. Grrrrrr, work pisses me off. It's so bad at the moment, that despite Stingo having been in the water since 21st May, I still have not raised the sails or even read all the threads on here, which I used to do....

Alas, there is light at the end of the tunnel and it's not a train.

Good to hear the news John , at least the light at the end of the tunnel is in sight , and the hours of work would explain your absence from the internet so here's looking forward to you reaching the end of it /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
