Solar charge controller- worth getting one with a battery monitor?

I'm looking for a charge controller so that I can add some solar panels.

Has anybody used this? Is the monitor worth getting?

I use precisely that controller, with the remote display. As far as I can see it works very well, and I like the remote display. The bar chart indicators of battery condition are a bit pessimistic, since they are based purely on terminal voltage and don't take account of any discharge, but that's a minor gripe.

Good price, too.

Thanks. Maybe one day I will cough up for a BM1 or similar, but in the meantime...

My thinking too, and I'm not rushing to spend the extra money.

I've got that one too. Very good in my opinion. Remote meter is great for monitoring battery state and the max and min readings are very useful for monitoring any voltage dips.
