My last survey report included a recommendation to tape bungs beside all skin fittings. This then became an insurers requirement as in "comply with all survey safety recommendations"

I wonder if aerosol insulation foam could be utilised for emergency bunging? I feel an experiment coming on!

we carry 2 pots of this and recommended it to a friend who crossed the atlantic last year. he had to use it for a real emergency and it worked just like it says he sailed a further 1560 miles with the stayafloat in place with no problem.
