I use spliced dyneema soft shackles for all kinds of applications on board. They are easy and quick to make, but not as easy and quick as yours. So certainly worth considering where the strength of dyneema is not needed -- which is a significant percentage of applications.
Then there's the lazy boogrs' option from Temu c/w a Chinese Whatknot on the end....
