Sorry for my late reply. No particular reason for choosing laguna. I just told them the needed diameter / length and they came back with this proposition. What and where did you order finally?

Thanks for that. I bottled it as far as buying soft rope, instead I got some rubber stubbers and anti chaffing teflon and rubber. It was cheaper option, instead I'm going to wait till spring and my local boat show (La Ciotat) there is usually a rope vendor there, I want to stand in front of a large selection of ropes and feel them.

to keep ropes nice and soft to the touch its good to put them through a warm cycle in your washing machine at the end of the season with a good dose of fabric conditioner. Sounds a but girly but def works!

Does that work with any old rope or just multiplat soft rope?

it cant make anything soft that wasnt soft to begin with but takes out a seasons worth of salt, grit and dirt

Stop the wash before the spin cycle though, or the rope will come out furry (ask me how I know )
