Nice to see you back again Mike lol.

So Friday it is. Between the Lerins. Mike if you can put a marker down for the location. Please make sure it’s a hurricane hole based on J’s weather forecast. Pizza’s sounds brilliant. I can work the system.

Suggest same position as for first meet

There tend to be fewer boats here than on the other side of the fairway but make sure your anchor is well set because the bottom is a bit weedy here. I suggest we anchor separately rather than raft up because of the usual wake issues. We intend to leave Antibes today and anchor overnight somewhere else tonight (probably Agay if anybody is around) and pitch up at the Lerins meeting point tomorrow. Shall we say 13.00? As I said before, happy to meet up on my boat. Our boat is a Ferretti 630 called Sumianda. We will have some cheese, ham and some salad stuff on board but probably not enough for everybody and no fresh bread but if we get pizzas I'm not sure we need bread anyway. Maybe if peeps can bring a salad dish and whatever their favourite tipple is? Also we could do with a few more plates and glasses (suggest plastic in both cases). I think we are OK for cutlery

Here I am stuck in a hotel room and very jealous of you lot:p
Luckily some very good friends have invited us for a cruise, next week, in the SW of the French Med, and I’m really looking forward to it.
So enjoy the meet up, I’ll raise a glass to you all (who’s bringing the cake?):encouragement:

No prob. Great to meet all of you yesterday. It is indeed a great honour to meet JtB. I put up a blue plaque every time he honours me with his presence;)

I didnt see what went on with the Riva. What exactly did he do?

He anchored very close to us and then when he departed he caught our anchor chain.

This resulted in our bow hitting the forward section of his boat, which he then attempted to rectify through the use of power and thrusters. After gaining his attention and telling him to calm down we came to a plan and then John appeared in his dingy and he unhooked my chain from his anchor. He then buggered off yelling to call him if there is any damage!

I gave him my thoughts on his seamanship and doubt we will swap Christmas Cards.
