....................I'm off to my boat for the weekend. Haven't seen her, or the sea since the beginning of November.

Just a nice easy pottering weekend doing a bit of cleaning, maintenance and "admin" with the marina and Engineers.

It will be nice to be reminded of how great it is to be on board and that boat ownership (and life in general) isn't neccessarily the miserable experience that one could easily conclude it is reading many of the recent posts on here.

Same here, I had not seen the boat for months until the weekend before last and even though it was flippin freezing we had the best time ever just tatting about and sorting her out.

We are back there again tommorow and so looking forward to it.

Had the boat in the water over the XMas hoildays (posted pics here) and had some lovely BBQ's and great 'craic'. Sad now that she's on the trailer until I get holidays in Easter (I plan on a few over-nights in Easter)

Pulled the boat out the water for a week, to change the anodes, leg servicing, antifouling and polishing & waxing the GRP.

I love your description of just pottering around, it sounds so romantic. The boat is going back in the water tomorrow (Fri), & I'm bloody knackered!!!!!
 
I'm going to the LIBS on Saturday, and know from previous experience that if I don't take whatever goodies I buy down to the boat straight away I will get very hacked off.

So I will be on the boat Sunday to play with the new toys, run the engines up and check that the cold hasn't done any damage. I've been lucky enough to have been out a couple of times when the weather has been spectacularly good this winter, but the forecast for this Sunday is sh1te.

Hope all other posters in the thread have a good time this weekend despite the weather.
 
Ah yes! That reminds me, I've got a boat somewhere. Must go down and have a look at her. What with the flu and the miserable weather I've sort of lost interest. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
