As a matter of interest once he started having a go I looked up some of his previous posts which were on the lounge. On one he claimed he was a farmer.

So "selling my biz" is not quite how i would describe getting out of farming or indeed selling land.......Flake

On the business thing, I thought in his previous life on here he was a Health and Safety Executive employee. Even if he owned 100% of the equity in the HSE, he might not sell it for s/seeker money. There again, I suppose some folks might buy it just to shut it down

He PMed me on that. He wrote a long para to me that superficially appeared to say he hadn't been a previous poster, but the para was wordsmithed, quite well but not well enough, and on close examination it didn't actually contain a denial.

So I replied and told him I could see his wordsmithing and that I wasn't duped by it, and I asked him again to say candidly whether he has had a previous user ID history on here. He tried a couple of times to avoid the question, and then said "I plead the 5th".

So it's pretty clear he is GC1/Happy/Grumpy or somesuch

Very similar writing style but GC1/H1 etc used to punctuate his posts with millions of smileys so maybe westie was his twin separated at birth

I'm no expert on analysing writing styles but I thought Westie was a clever spoof of GC/Happy1 but not the real thing. Hard to say why, but I think it was because, for all his faults, GC1 is more light-hearted than Westie, who was just plain malicious. Having met GC1 in the flesh, I know that he loves winding people up, and that he sometimes went too far on here, but Westie was like a caricature.

I suspect the Major has received a denial of Westie-ness straight from GC1 but I stand ready to be corrected about this.

Hmm, it appears I may have been taken advantage of and the 'someone' who emailed me to tell me it wasn't GC1 may have been taking liberties with my good nature.
