Have any or the rest of you noticed that in the last few monthe there's been a massive up-surge (no pun intended) in the amount of porn-related junk email landing in your inbox or am I just extraordinarily popular with these spammers? In one week I've been offered several ways to enlarge various organs (many of which are mutually exclusive I'd have thought) or purchase viagra without prescription or otherwise indulge in pursuits once guaranteed to cause blindness! And that's to say nothing about the various teens in all sorts of positions waiting for to pleasure me in ways more acrobatic than I'd be comfortable with

The novelty's long since worn off I can tell you.

There's an excellent free program called MAIL WASHER .
Easy to set up and easy to operate. I have 4 ISPs and each day I must get 2/300 emails of which I would say 75% is SPAM. I run MAIL WASHER before collecting my mail.
Dowload the program from any of the usual freeware/shareware sites. If you don't have a favorite just put a search in.

Seems like a good idea Byron, does that delete the mail as well?

I use something called "pop 3 scan mailbox", (also free download) first thing each day and delete everything not specifically addressed to me, anything marked "re" if I didn't originate it, anything marked "FW" if I don't personally know the sender, but it's not automatic. Maybe it can be, I haven't tried to configure it.
