I don't think much of silver (or the even more drab grey) as a car-paint colour, but since it accounts for six million UK cars, why is it such a rare choice for yacht topsides?

Is it a question of choice, or a technical matter of the difficulty of emulsifying silvery particles in marine paint?

So, not keen on grey? I just bought a grey Nissan Qashqai totally on purpose. Mainly because many of their car colours are hideous ( in my opinion ), also travelling the rural outbacks grey tends to hide the dust and dirt. Last car was black, always difficult to keep smart. White is also a no-no for me. So, grey it is!!!

Thinking of repainting the Osprey then Dan?

Really? That sounds fun. Hard to believe we haven't seen lots of more-money-than-taste types doing exactly that.

Am I alone in being surprised that we haven't seen a chrome-wrapped Sunseeker, or even one of those enormous racing sailboats?

EDIT...jeez, wish I'd posted that 60 seconds earlier.
