Where would it sit? Would it be a glossy coffee table mag for wannabee superyacht owners, like classic boat has become, or would it be a practical build your own boat type mag like the American Woodenboat or the lovely Watercraft?

And what should it be called?

The Boatman....................oh wait we had one by that name and an excellent mag it was too. Yes a European version of Woodenboat would be good. I do like Classic Boat ,just to see how the other half live , but I imagine it has little in common with most enthusiasts on here.

Up The Creek with a Laminated Oak and Ash Paddle, using recycled goat bone Glue, and a Victorian Spokeshave (Record 51 with the unpainted handles) and Elm Biscuits, finished with hand-ground Shellac Varnish in Organic Turpentine, perhaps ?

Get the real flavour of what we woodies want ?

Surely all well covered by Off Center Harbor. I know it is 'easier' for our country cousins but what a great site especially for those of us doing long term rebuilds.
