Reeddit a couple of the films for off peak channel 4 and give them the free rights to publish,
That made me laugh, as someone who has sat in on a few tv commissioning meetings and know how tv people think.
All Dylan's problems go back twenty years to the start of the internet when over-enthusuastic folks decided 'everything would be free'. Once that genie got out of the bottle, it is now proving almost impossible to get it back in. They thought that ad revenue would compensate them and provide undreamed of income, but for people like Dylan, and even Rupert Murdoch who now has a pay wall round some of his papers, that model clearly doesn't work.
I meet a lot of young people who love the free cost of the internet. They then tell me they want careers in 'media'. So I then ask them who is going to pay their wages if all the content is free? They think I'm stupid.
The first person to come up with a solution to this will make Bill Gates look like a pauper.
