Taken the boat out fair few times times this winter and come back in so cold it takes 2 hours to feel normal (well as normal as I can be)
Am I getting older or does it seem a lot colder this year ?
Oh and while were on the subject why have I got a hobby that is absolutly excellent and I love to bits that is only that good when its warm and sunny
Moan,moan, moan I just want to go back to the med

Last time I was out on my boat was January - but I was in shorts and polo shirt and wearing sunglasses /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Its just your age! The older I get the more I hate the long winter months. I just feel that life is getting shorter and I don't want to waste time sitting inside four walls with the central heating on full! I just want my kids to take control of their lives and move away so the wife and I can go play in the Med somewhere! As you have already done this I guess you have managed to encourage your kids to leave home? any help from the forum on how they got their kids to go?
Mine are 21 & 25 and feel its their right to be looked after until we die!

Actually, I love cold crisp winter mornings with the frost settled on the grass and trees. OK, I would'nt want to go boating on those days but its not a bad way to start a journey to work
I do agree that this winter seems to have dragged on too long. Too many grey dark freezing days with the cold getting right into your bones. Often, we get a mild or even warmish spell in February to remind us that Spring is coming but it ain't happened this year
 
Not the weekend we were there it didn't /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif - for once I chose the right time, I think my buddy has the photo's to prove it.

Actually I did lie, I was wearing Jeans not shorts, didn't put the shorts on until back in the marina. The polo shirt & sunglasses bit is true though.

Out again on the 11th of next month but weather is not looking brilliant at the moment. When are you out next?

There have been some very nice weekends just recently. Prob is that the last good weekend I was ill, the good weekend before that SWMBO wasn't well... and now it's snowing... /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

I blame it on all these bl**dy greenies for you! If they hadn't stopped us using spray cans that ozone would have a bigger hole in it by now! maybe we would feel the sun!

I find the more fun I have in the summer the longer and worse the winter is
when we arrived for our 6 week tour of the sof I was worried about when it was gonna end even from the 1st week and im still pleased i bought the boat back planning on going on tour of the west country this may june till the boat back goes to the med july 14th
That will be ace going to go and stay in different places for every weekend even if it rains
 
I like winter.

I get to pay off the credit cards built up from last season and everyday brings us nearer to the new season /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Afterall if we had good weather all year I would go bankrupt! Petrol is sooo expensive...
