had to pop down to the boat today to fit the tube heaters and fill up with deisel, so decided to have a quick little mini cruise to oakley court and back (the other half waited in the car with the heating on!)

Good on you - we will be on the river on Christmas Day - keeps the Lock Keepers on their toes! Winter is great - no hanging about trying to get on the layby - no hire boats and all the moorings in the world.

We took Ex Libris out for a short run today. I was very happy with the heating system :)

The most fun was to be had with the ropes, which had frozen solid. I could do the Indian rope trick, but forgot to take photos :(

Popped out to Shepperton Square for lunch on Sunday, lovely day but quite a bit of ice which took a while to gingerelycrunch through to get out, and back again afterwards. ebersplutter working a treat thank goodness. SWMBO had similar fun with frozen ropes on ours as well!

have to admit it was very cold, but so worth it.
Only real pain was popping the canpoies back on and tieing her up - very cold on the hands!!

Get some good gloves.

We would have loved to take Cal out last weekend but we where well and truely frozen in and after last winters ice breaking we decided not to do it again. Real shame as the weather was lovely for the majority of the weekend.

Friends of ours were trying to move their boat our of Windsor Racecourse, but too frozen to move despite 2 bods on the front with planks trying to break the ice, the planks kept bouncing off it was so thick!
