These were very popular boats because they have much more room in them than their competitors at the time. However, they are probably less good at sailing because the keels are very shallow, so you get lots of leeway. They are also well known to have very heavy steering and weather helm, that is they round up easily into the wind. I see that one has a bowsprit which will improve the handling and probably give it a larger sail area which will improve the speed a bit. Very well built, but the engine will be a very old type.
