Illicit Desire is a good boat name.....
It does sound like it. I'm not sure I would want to say "this is Illicit Desire, Illicit Desire..." on the radio though.Illicit Desire is a good boat name.....
My kingdom for a…..setttee!If only you had a settee berth you could lie out on to recuperate from your fatigue.![]()
I'm sorry that my boat-buying days are over. I was hoping to call my next one 'Flagrante Delicto'.Illicit Desire is a good boat name.....
Because it would quickly unravel? Why has no one ever thought to have a boat name thread![]()
When you get a boat it should be called "I kept looking xxx".Never again Two
I can relate.Unfortunately having owned boats mainly of doubtful qualities I admit to trepidation at saying yes and buying a boat as at this momment Thereare several family problems that really need to be sorted and spending money on a yacht doesn’t seem correct. But I have these lapses and really think I could become a boat owner again ……I freely admit I find it tiresome![]()
At least I am not alone!…..Unfortunately Spain is different as they say and yachts how ever decrepit still fetch a price which would shock Northern Europeans.I can relate.
I bodyswerved the mental block by getting a "free" Trident 24, end of last year, while on the rebound from a very cheap Westerly Pageant in a better location that I probably should have gone for but dithered over too long. The Trident was very neglected but seemed to be basically sound. We'll see how accurate that impression was/is when I get back to the UK and work it up.
Since then, without especially looking for trouble, I've seen a couple of what look like astonishingly "good deals" in apparently better free boats, in workable locations, and in much better visual condition than the one I got, so it wasn't a one-off, and with an allegedly collapsing old boat market, they will probably be coming up more often.
Of course they are unlikely to come up within walking distance of your home, but you could probably do better than my 10,207 formerly shark infested nautical miles.
But do they sell?At least I am not alone!…..Unfortunately Spain is different as they say and yachts how ever decrepit still fetch a price which would shock Northern Europeans.
Probably not quite as shocking as "free", since that, by definition, means they arent worth anything. At least I am not alone!…..Unfortunately Spain is different as they say and yachts how ever decrepit still fetch a price which would shock Northern Europeans.
Looking weekly at the lists on two online thingys things move slowly especially in the high prices but sometimes I notice a boat has gone from the listing and occasionally it reappears months later .Most of the boats I have inspected have sold so I was probably wrong to not buy themBut do they sell?

To day we are looking for a “Disbrothadora” to cut the grass in the finca but Ihave penciled in Thursday to look at the Sapdragon!Yep
I always reckoned the best boats sold ‘affordably’ on a sliding market but before the bottom..
By the way it’s June 2nd today.
So technically it’s ‘Summer Springs Eternal’
Tempus fugit and all that…

That’s sort of what we need,Ihave a trailer that might be a deciding factor on size asweneed to transport to CangasBy the way
I have had little joy with Snappies
But much success with one of these DR type brush cutters
Sadly I feel that Snapdragons and grass mowers are a tug of war between logic and heartfelt desire innit
