Quite right, Phanakapan...I'm ashamed to say the comparison hadn't occurred to me. I'd like to suppose it hadn't occurred to writer Griff Rhys Jones, either!

Para Handy is still there. Both the 1974 series with Roddy Macmillan and the 1995 series with Gregor Fisher, who is the better of the two Para Handys imho. I wonder whom Neil Munro would have preferred?

There was a Welsh version planned but the puffer sank - too many leeks apparently.:nonchalance:
