That's not very sociable ,

Don't forget your packet of Marlborough which you put down under your boat papers when you check in at Smir and 'forget' to pick up with your papers afterwards....... Great place though. Happy memories of some great weekends there with "The Rally". Enjoy, all who take part.

There is absolutely no need to bribe the officials.

Last time I was there, it was given out that the odd packet of cigarettes would 'grease' the process of registration etc. It worked and I didn't really mind. We would (presumably) have got it all done without; so more of a 'thank you than a 'bribe' (your words, not mine). A packet of Marlborough was about £1, much less than I would have tipped a waiter, cab driver etc.
