When are you lot going to get the drift??? The whole problem is because the bog is not pumped enough. I have a 30 year old boat with the original fittings and pipework. To my advantage was the fact that she was hardly used but when I checked the pipe work and serviced the bogs I found that there was little or no calcification. The rule on our boat is that whatever you do takes at least 30 pumps of the handle. And for the serious fanatics I have a Lavac and a Jabsco. If we have visitors I always make sure that I discretely pump both of them at least 50 times each day that they are on board because they just don't understand do they? Sea water doens't smell, get the cr#p out and you will have no smells.
Not sure how that explains/cures the rotten egg smell while initially flushing after a week away.
Perhaps I am missing your point.
