Just goes to show how small the world is! While browsing thru Ebay I came across a Garmin 128 on auction, brand new and still boxed. So battle commences and I come out the winner. Seller is based in Chichester so quick email to the guy to say I'll come and pick up the unit. I had a 'small world' incided a few years back. I arrived to raft up on Poole Quay along side a RAF training yacht (busy bank hoilday weekend) had a some heat words with the skipper, he did not want us there but the HM told us to go there. bah de bah! RAF skipper went off in a huff. They didnt leave a 0300 to go to France as they said. Even though we were up for them to leave.
That autumn attended a RYA yachtmaters theory course at the local RAF station. Guess whos in charge? He didnt recongize me, so I kept my mouth shut. - I passed!
