Small trailable weekender

During this discussion I have been contacted by an Anderson 22 owner to remind me there's a good slipway at Baiter in Poole Harbour, though it sounds like parking the car & trailer may be a remote and expensive snag !

This might be as good a solution as any;

I was once met by one of these on a bend on the River Frome, it had the hazard lights flashing and two blokes wearing top hats & tails...

The Swift 18 would be one of two choices here I'd suggest, the other being a Sailfish 17,both about the same wieght and reasonably straightforward handling during launching and retrieving. The Sailfish is rather dinghy like in appearance and viewing forward beneath the furling genoa may be a problem but there are several out there,and decently fast/stable too.
The Swift 18 also had a 20ft version, basically a 2ft section added to the transom which may have provided space for an outboard well for a 5HP outboard. The Sailfish's O/B on a transom lifting bracket. The Sailfish around £1500 and the Swift about £2300 that I've seen in recent months,not bad prices including the trailer and or outboard.

I've been looking around and have seen several mirror offshore boat for sale. These have galley, heads, onboard engine and good headroom. But I wonder if they will dry out without tipping over. Does anyone have any experience of this feature?
