Looking for some advice please!
I have a pair of Kad 300 engines and the Starboard leg anodes have almost completely disappeared in a season!
My boat is currently out of the water and plugged into the mains and while I was cleaning the leg I was getting small electrical shocks on my arm as I brushed against it! It happened 4 or 5 times!

Any ideas what this could be and what I should check

Thanks

Sounds like you have a couple of issues. Something is leaking current to the Stb leg which, when in the water it, it's leaking to ground and causing the anode to deplete. Now you're out of the water it isn't finding a path to Earth until you touch it, as you're standing on the ground. So your second problem is a poor Earth.

You need to find what's leaking power. Measure voltage between the leg and shore power negative/Earth, then turn things off at the consumer unit to narrow it down. If you find it's the ring main, or anything else with multiple outlets, turn them off/disconnect them, one at a time. The calorifier is a prime suspect.

Next. you need to check Earth continuity from the leg to the shore power Earth, including the cable to the marina Earth.
