I want to get a new lifejacket for SWMBO as the adult Kru Sport Pros we have are too big for her at 5'3" and 50kg (8st). I've spoken to Ocean Safety and the adult size is supposed to be one size fits all which is obviously not the case. The largest Junior size they do is only up to 30kg.

Can anyone recommend a quality lifejacket for her that will fit?

You just have to try them. They are all made to the same standard size in terms of minimum buoyancy, but the design of straps and fastenings vary and some are more comfortable for some people than others.

+1

My SWMBO, 5' 1" has an identical Crewsaver 190N to me, 5' 8".

Easier said than done. Where we live in Shropshire is about as far from the sea/lots of chandlers as you can possibly get. The boat is in Empuriabrava but the local chandlers there don't have much of a selection to try.

And, if you think she will do an eight hour round trip over two days to shlepp around the SIBS you obviously don't know her! :)

What I am looking for with the OP is suggestions of models that come in small adult sizes to narrow the field a bit.

Sorry to be a bit negative, but don't think such things exist. As you have found adult lifejackets are all basically the same size (or rather 2 sizes, but the 275n size is not relevant here). You may find the simple shawl type with straps easier to adjust to different size frames, but some people find them bulky and difficult to put on in a hurry. The ones you have already are claimed to be designed for greater comfort and ease of use compared with the more basic designs!

Ocean Safety are probably the biggest specialists in the business so if they can't recommend something, then difficult to know where to go except to speak to all the manufacturers.

"Short Adult" version for Teenagers and Shorter adults. I have no personal experience of these, never seen one. Just know that the option is there, might be worth investigating for Your SWMBO....and cause you less earache about the totty....or, you can ask crewsaver to drape one on the model of your choice at the SIBS, for the greater good! ;)
