Thanks thepipdoc - that reminds me. August MBM, page 45, top anchorages no 12, Harty Ferry. Hey IPC, I want my money back coz you say ground holding there is excellent - heck it wasn't in the spot we were at last night - up three times in the night we were with it dragging.
 
I was at the Harty Ferry on Saturday night. I often anchor there overnight and have never had a problem. It's one of those anchorages where I sleep well. The tide does rip through though, so I use a lot tof chain and as it was a 6 mtr tide it was somewhat quicker than normal. I anchored in 8 mtrs (@HW) and had about 65m of 10mm chain out. Slept like a log.
