So it seems.

Local BBC TV news this evening featured a RSPB rep claiming that MCZs were essential to preventing this kind of incident. Even the BBC hack looked embarrassed, and mumbled something about not everyone agreeing and the Channel being one of the busiest commercial waterways in the world.

Yes I watched Spotlight too. Couldn't believe the reporter countering the MCZ angle. Unfortunately he might find his anti BBC doctrine comment career limiting.

Maybe. Perhaps the BBC is just beginning to trim its sails to the new wind? Balance, and all that.
