Slightly overweight yacht crew....

Do you think a friend should join them? Possibly in the cockpit?

Without this photo it would be difficult to understand how a yacht could sink without being hit or loosing a seacock whilst on a mooring.

Should you ever pit stop in the Galápagos Islands whilst tootling across the Pacific, you will encounter these....large lumps of wildlife. The waters around the islands, despite being a gnats away from the equator are fed by the Peruvian current and are flippin cold. Hence the attraction to mr ugly and his extended family.

It's become their adventure playground and a useful source of income for locals. For example, you cannot get alongside so must anchor off. If you choose to dinghy ashore, one of them will climb aboard and burst it. Thus you are obliged to take the dollar a ride water taxi.

The taxi drops you off at the jetties that are thoughtfully provided with steps and some nice benches to sit and admire the view. Otherwise known as sea lion beds. They are everywhere and are somewhat less than hygienic. Poo everywhere.

Quite how they manage to get on to the sugar scoop transom of a yacht the second you leave it is a mystery. But after their mate the taxi driver has dropped you back aboard at the shrouds, he will be no help whatsoever in removing several tons of mostly inert blubber back into its more natural habitat.

So my full sympathies to the owner of the boat in the vid. Looks a tad neglected but at least when the fat boys have finished crapping all over it, it may sink and stop being a problem....

Nice.
I won’t be complaining about the otters anymore.
They love to haul out on log booms and even docks. Couldn’t get back to the boat when one decided to sun itself beside the boat in Neah Bay. Fortunately, The local sea lions are a bit more shy.

In 2003 the city of Monterey suffered an invasion by some thousands of young sealions. The pictures were quite revolting. I think there was a thread here about it.

Whatever it is, the OP's post is blank to me. Could it me my adblocker throwing a tantrum?

When I used Internet Explorer it lost the ability to display video on this forum so I changed to Opera which worked fine, though I do not like it so much.
So it might be linked to your search engine?

.....I have just checked and Internet Explorer can now display video (maybe due to the software update on this site), think I will switch back.

So it might be linked to your search engine?
Very unlikely

Probably linked to your browser or some extension that blocks various things for saving bandwidth or whatever reason.

Other than that, I can't really say without knowing more about the connection, your system & how you are set up.

*Edit: the video is coming from Facebook, so likely your adblocker is the cause - Often social media links are blocked
