Just playing with my new (to me )Ebay camera.
with Zoom

And without

Looking east down Medway with Isle of Sheppey in background and Folly Fort in mid distance
Several retired light ships in boat yard at Hoo visible.
Old camera met sticky end when dropped on lens.

What Camera?

Its a rather ancient(by todays standards) Nikon Coolpix 8700.
First came out about 8 years ago and cost a small fortune or about £800 pounds in ordinary money.Pick them up for around £70 on ebay,normally come with with a few bits and bobs that enthusiastic camera types cannot resist buying.
Only draw back is size,definately not a pop in the top pocket catagory.
Lots of fun and no major tantrums if it drops over the side into the briny to keep all my other stuff company

Yes,think they all do now. About 3 ? mins or thereabouts
Just sold the olde camera ( dismantled into about 500 bits no less) on ebay for spares.
