Just had our aluminium framed sliding windows refurbed and due I guess to the new
seals they are rather tight to move.
Any suggestions for anything I can apply to help them slide better?

There are various silicone based sprays available although I prefer liquids that may be more accurately applied. Or try petroleum jelly which also works well on zips in canvas canopies.

Whatever you do, DO NOT use petroleum jelly on rubber. It will make the rubber harden and leak.

Silicone spray worked well for my last boat’s sliding door, too well as it would slide with just rocking of the boat. A good wash down with soapy water provided a better result.
