Now the boat is out having a bow grinder fitted (no Col. I didnt cut the hole myself) its time to get all those little anoying jobs fixed, but here is one i would like to share which beggers belief.
Ihave a pair of Merc.4.2 TD. This fault only occurs on one unit. On the port side of the lump there is a grey sealed junction box containing cold start relays. The j/b is about 150x150x60 deep. The only entries are the main engine harnesses which are sealed with their respective rubber gaitors. When the sealed lid is removed there is always about an eggcup full of engine oil in the bottom of the j/b. There is no obvios sign as to how the oil got in but i must assume it entered via a wireing loom. Any suggestions would be appreciated Dave.
