had an sl400 in the old boat and serviced it. it worked fine but the best way to flush i found was kneeling in front of it and pushing the lever over to open the inlet valve properly. not elegant. however having just helped a friend replace one with a jabsco (after comparing the cost of spares for the sl400 with a new jabsco) we found that the height was a problem. not for the installation but we had to build a plinth for his wife's feet!
