Skippering an all-female crew

Re: No....

I wont sail in an all female crew - previous experience taught me quickly. I race with an all male crew, no bickering just get on with it attitude. I also wont sail with my partner - raced together recently but I was doing bow and he was trimming so we had a good distane between us and that seemed to work ok...!

Well, I've been on boats that had some Big Girls in the crew. These blokes' - day racing types - personal gear quickly found its way into a heap on the cabin sole where it remained, wet, until the end of the trip. They were also incapable of washing up a cup, mug or plate. Explains why the owner/skipper went 'veggie'. I felt like flying a Code Flag 'W' on arrival.....

And I've been guest - Honorary Girlie - on a boat with an all-girlie crew-and-skipper. NowTHAT was an experience. Good job I had a sense of humour - and more important, that THEY had!

Best of luck to-ing and fro-ing to SV. No doubt we'll hear of your adventures here - and I'll hear the rest of the story, after you get back, from Jake. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
