Hi
I jut bought a 37ft twin engine boat. I’m fairly new to boating so I need some help bringing it from York to Essex.
Anyone has recommendations for a skipper I can hiere?
Ideally I’d like to get it down at the end of the month.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi,
Thanks for your reply.
I have decided to transport it by road, so I no longer need a skipper.
It needed a full engine service and few bits fix before taking a long trip and it has been proven difficult to organise living so far from the current location.
Thanks again

Probably sensible. It is a long trip if you do not know the boat especially if it has been on the river a few years at displacement speed.

Too late now but a good Skipper should have been able to show up a couple of days before departure and sort these things at either a day rate or part of the whole deal.

It's in their interest as professional (delivery) Skipper to make sure they can actually get the boat to its destination.

I haven't done deliveries for many years but the preparation and this sort of thing was always a fun part of the trip and gave me a good time to understand the boat. I can't speak for others but I would happily deal with maintance issues and servicing as part of the deal, involving the new owners if they so wished.
