We've just acquired a pretty good condition Skipper 14 for the children however can find absolutely nothing on the web about the makers or a history of the boat. The only thing we did find was the Class Association for Skipper 12's and 14's, however there is little in the way of background info. Can anyone help?

Many thanks

I can't add a lot of specifics, I'm afraid. I seem to remember that the boat was designed by Peter Milne (who also designed the Fireball) in the mid-late 60s. Don't remember who made them.

There were 2 rigs. on one the mast sits in hole forward of the thwart.. the sail is sleeved like on a topper. bigger rig for racing (sic) mast sits more conventionally on the fward thwart and has shrouds in the conventional manner. The bigger rig is surprisingly quick if the wind is blowy enough. there used to be a class assoc that met in surrey or somewhere, but i lost touch.
