First time ashore now for the Skilso 975 Arctic that I bought earlier this year.

Can anyone tell me if there is usually a shaft anode fitted? At the moment there is a hull anode on the centreline and one on the bow thruster. Any others normally fitted? Single KAMD43P engine version.

A shaft anode would only be fitted if a hull anode, bonded to the stern gear was either inadequate or impossible to arrange. Check that the hull anode is bonded to the stern gear and that it has eroded over the season. If it is/has, then no need for a shaft anode.

OK, thanks. I asked because there are some marks on the shaft indicating there was a shaft anode, sometime in the past.

However, the shaft also has an inboard brush assembly fitted. It looks like this was the solution to a past problem.
