\"Skeletons For Sadness\" By Ewen Southby-Tailyour

This book sounds amazing, written by the ex-Royal who yachted around the S. Atlantic and gave his personal surveys/logs to the Navy to help the 1982 occurrences (apart frm driving a ship through them) but it`s not for sale in e.g. Waterstones, why is it too controversial, too uncommercial, his other books are there, what`s the coup? I find it hard to believe it`s a crap story, why isn`t it in the shops?

If you buy books from Amazon you should be able to click on the link to Jester Challenge. This means that they will get some money from Amazon. Particularly relevant for Ewan's book as he is instrumental in the Jester Challenge.

. I'm a few chapters into it - its brilliant so far. There are so few good sailing novels, amazed this one hasn't been more widely publicised.

To anyone who has read this:

Did you make sense of the ending?
Would you give me your take on the ending if possible, please.

The last few pages; I cannot figure out if the girl 'Heather' was still working for the Argentines and gave away two positions and led Edward into the final ambush. If so why?

Why did the book end stating that he would understand?

Was she a spy? Why would Edward understand?

Google helps with film endings, but I can find nothing to do with this book ending.

Thanks

i think its been left deliberately ambiguous (ie i can't figure it out either!)

if you go back to v beginning/kids/diary/fa in law etc - no mention of Heather by name. so is it her or not that he eventually settles down with? etc

i thought the book was ok (and i rarely read fiction)
