Skeg tiller bearings

Hi All,
The bearings on my rudder need to be replaced. Its a skeg rudder and I don't know when it was done last, if ever. Anyway does anyone have a manual or diagram or information on how to do this as I've never tackled this job before. Also where will I get repacement bearings etc.

The Leisure range of yachts also have skeg-hung rudders. In fact, the Leisure 27 was also marketed as a Mirage with a different interior. You may have some luck with their website:- http://www.leisureowners.org.uk/

I don't know specifically about the Mirage rudder, but Snapdragons have a skeg hung rudder and the bearings are just standard skin fittings. To replace them, the rudder needs to be dropped when the boat is out of the water. Can you give more information on how yours is set up - perhaps even some pictures?
