Skanti 1000 P DSC is it worth fixing & where ?

sugestions please, it's as dead as a dodo, it does have power at the socket, made in 2000.

i've got no need for all the fancy features, a standard vhf would do fine.

or should i purchase a basic modern version ?

Skanti mostly make professional radio kit for commercial use and I suspect your 1000P is as good as they come. I suggest you take it to an electronics repairer and put a max price for repair on it, say £150. If it can be repaired for that its worth keeping.

thanks, hmm, 150 that was what i was worried about.
can buy a new basic icom set for that.
