One of the bolts holding my starter motor on is missing! Its the one next to the engine. I meant to find the size before I left the boat ( In the Med ) but forgot ( or did it but have forgotten where I recorded it!!)

At a guess it will be something like 7/16" unf. and max 2" long.

Can anyone help confirm the size or suggest the range of sizes I should take with me when we set off again this spring.

Most obliged

My parts book says 3/8ths NF x 1. 3/4, BUT that is for an automotive gearbox so it depends on your gearbox flange thickness.
So if you take 1; 3/4 & 2 ; 1/4 you should cover it .

Thanks guys. Stu.....I will not put you to the bother of finding and sending stuff from the 'Bits Stuck Anywhere' but very many thanks for the offer.
I still have a good old fashioned hardware/engineering supply dealer who I'm sure will find the parts for me.
I will go for a range as suggested by essexboy.
