I was out for a sail today on the Blackwater and noticed six newish looking yellow buoys just a little East of the Nass Beacon.

A wreck I presume, but does anyone know the background as to why these buoys have been laid?

Notices to Mariners, select the 2019 list and then scroll down to week 27.

It is a project to increase the cultivation of the Native Oyster joinly with the London Zoo and locals. There are some 'trays' for the cultivation which ought to be avoided. There was more detail in the Temporary Notice back in June but I deleted that after the UKHO notice came out. The obstructions are: "The works will include the deployment of six spat collectors. These are A-frame structures that are approximately 1 metre wide, 2.4 metres long and 1.2 metres tall. The location of the spat collectors will be marked by six yellow marker buoys with a flashing yellow light. The total area will be approximately 75m x 95m."
