Singlehanding this weekend

If my cojones stay on, I'm going to attempt to launch at B'sea Saturday, maybe o'night Bradwell. Sunday to North Fambridge, recover B'sea tues.

Rising tides both launch & recovery mornings. Wind may even play ball both directions.

BUT - this will be the first singlehanded trip:D:cool::eek:

After youve done it a few times, you'll realise crew just get in the way....

well your cojones seemed attached when you flew past us today between Fambridge and Bridgemarsh. despite lots of shouting 'max, max, max' and radioing you - you didn't see us!

You looked great sailing by us at Creeksea, very bright spot of colour on a cold grey day. Could not find my camera in time, sorry.

Had a look down at Brightlingsea Waterside this morning on my way to see a client, and saw Max just pulling his bright yellow gaffer out of the water...I would imagine that you have had a good weekend, certainly a nice breeze yesterday!

Max, I think I saw you come past us in Burnham yacht harbour yesterday on your way to your berth at the end of the pontoon. She's very eye-catching, very pretty.

Nice to be spotted, sorry, particularly to Lisa, for not seeing you. I thought I was keeping an eye out, too:(

Learned, on the way down, what everyone else already seems to know - "Oh, yes, gets a bit lumpy down the Whittaker when there's a bit of East in the wind." In the lumps I saw 8 knots (SOG), just as I was trying to decide when to gybe up the re-buoyed channel that my chart plotter doesn't know about, which was interesting.

So only got back as far as Burnham (yacht harbour) on the Monday, while the wind veered, and died down some.

It was a good trip, but I'll enjoy the next one more.;)

Just put up the video of the trip at

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cukcgt-v2OM

Not an exciting film, I must admit, I think I made it more for myself than for others, but if anyone's interested....

Didn't get the most exciting bits, gybing round in the Swin looking for the Whittaker channel - can't think why.
