Singlehanded Mooring

Invest in a couple of additional fenders for the bow / stern depending on preference. Check wind / current on approach to determine bows or stern in and control approach speed carefully using engine braking (check prop walk as to which way stern will travel ) if needed? Have your lines ready on bow (led back to cockpit) and stern and take midships warp on pontoon make fast then take bow /stern to cleats.
In home berth have added a few old fenders and a couple of pontoon fenders to provide safe berthing and minimise worries. If it all goes wrong plan B applies which is usually a hasty exit and another try.

I berth singlehanded all the time on my 32 footer. Had midships cleats fitted as they are essential in my view and weren't on the boat originally. Usually all I have to do is to step ashore with a midships line, put it around a suitable cleat on the pontoon and pull it in tight. There is normally enough time to step ashore rather than having to lassoo cleats, and once that midships line is on and tight she's not going to stray too far whilst I sort out the bow and stern lines which I have looped over the rails so that I can grab them from the pontoon. There is usually much more time than you think so don't rush - that's the biggest mistake!
