Moving on from my very first post where I mentioned that I own a guitar, is it possible to clear a crowded anchorage within an hour or so of repeated, awful renditions of Beautiful South or James Blunt?

It takes much less than an hour with bagpipes, regardless of the material.

The last suggestion I heard of in such a conversation was to make a quick trip round the anchorage handing out Watchtower Leaflets.

We once rafted up to a German yacht in Middelburg, the chap helpfully took our lines, then returned to his cockpit. He picked up his guitar and started playing 'Duelling Banjos' (cf Deliverance). His dog started howling. Apparently the dog hated his playing even more than we did and and a peaceful night ensued. I reckon the first 4 bars of Duelling Banjos sends a chill down the spine of those of a certain age.
