Has anyone successfully I/F'd a Simrad APX3000 autopilot to Raymarine Es chart plotter models using nmea183?

Not tried it, but you would likely get basic functionality, such as steer to a waypoint or route. You don't say which version of plotter you have, if it has an 0183 out it's a two wire connection to the AP, if not you need a Seatalk to NMEA converter, then it's the same two wire connection.

According to the manual you need the Raymarine accessory cable R70414.
You then connect :
Plotter Yellow (positive) to AP RX1 positive
Plotter Brown (negative to AP RX1 negative

Ok thanks again Paul the cable looks v similar to a garmin 128 nmea cable although I can be sure the plug won't fit!
