Simrad Shipmate CP30 Chartplotter

Anybody have any experience or know about these?

I know they use CMAP but don't know what version, ie would I be able to buy additional and updated charts ?

The Simrad website doesn't have any record of this model which is a bit of a worry.

will write to Navico direct too, but just wondered if anybody here knows anything about them.

thanks, still can't find anything on Simrad or Navico, though.

I've not had CMAP before, so am learning from scratch.

suggest you get this as it lists the CP30 as one of those in the test

If you want any data on C-Map, I am happy to provide.

The CP30 can only take the C-Map NT Charts. It can not take the new Max or Superwide charts. For any further information please feel free to give us a call.

I have actually given up on this newfangled internet technology and telephoned Simrad direct!

Once i established that they moved from Gosport to Romsey about a year ago, i got to speak to somebody helpful.

Questions answered immediately and copy of manual on its way.
