Simrad IS15 compatibility

The multifunction display on my IS 15 system has failed. Will the computer drive any modern (ie currently available) multi display? There seem to be none on fleabay.
If I need a new computer too will the current IS15 comparable Simrad transducers - depth & speed in this case - work or is it an all new system?

We have IS15 instruments on our boat.

If you have more than one IS15 instrument then you could use the NMEA output from any one that is still working to supply a replacement instrument that will accept the NMEA info that is routed via the simnet from the computer to the other instrument. I don't think you can connect directly to the computer if you only have a Combi as the conversion to NMEA is done in the IS15 instrument not the main computer.

Cant help with the compatability of the sensors with other equipment.

Before you condemn the combi unit there are also some DIY fixes for it somewhere on the Hanse owners forum that you could try. I cant find them quickly but would be worth having a look.

Don't throw away any connectors or the other IS15 equipment if you do replace it. I might be interested!

Oh just a final thought.Sometimes it is just the display that packs up so you might still have all the info available from your display. You just need to plug into the nmea socket on the back and connect that to any manufacturers instrument that accepts nmea.
