simpson lawrence horizon 500 gypsy

I have aquired a S L horizon 500 and would like to know what size chain it accepts, I understand from looking online it is either 6mm or 7mm but cant find a definitive.
The only number on the gypsy is RC0760, does that mean anything to anyone?

Usually if you take the gypsy off the chain size is engraved on the circumference or on the 'insides' of the gypsy plates. if the windlass is really old it might be imperial (rather than metric).
