Last Friday after work we trundled off on the boat to Halfpenny Pier at Harwich where we rafted up against the beautiful Tall Ship 'Morning Star of Revelation' http://www.morningstar.org.uk/mst.html. I sat chatting to the crew and admiring the fine vessel while SWMBO and crew dashed into town for some fish 'n' chips. Back on board, we cast off and headed a short distance up the Stour to Erwarton Bay, dropped the hook and proceeded to demolish the spoils of the foraging mission ashore. Set off back to Ipswich as the sun was setting and got back in the berth in time for a couple of beers in the club before closing time.
I must be a man of simple tastes because I enjoyed that little trip as much as any for a while.
