I've got a Silva handheld and a Swiftech fixed set. Had the Swiftech, which was a badged Silva marketed by Simpson Lawrence, for about seven years. Not had any probs with it and its been abused.
The Handheld was purchased a couple of years ago from MES ltd. Had a prob with it as soon as it was outta the box. MES were very good and replaced it within 24 hrs and paid all postage costs.
Then last year the replacement set developed a fault. MES put me in contact with Silva. Now bearing in mind that the unit was out of warrenty, Silva had a look at it saw it was knackered and replaced it free of charge. Threy sent a complete new unit including chargers, battery, and aerial. So I now have a spare set of thingys for it.
Its still working and doing what its 'sposed to do. Cant fault either MES Ltd of Bristol or Silva, who I believe are based in Scotland. At the end of the day I got top notch service way beyond the price tag of the unit.

I am but so far they don't want to know! they say they have upgraded the model now and they will supply me with the upgraded one! Only bought it three months ago, but I suppose it could have been on the shelf longer!
