Regular grease gun filled with what?
If you put your boat 90 degrees to the pontoon at Woolverstone, you can probably step off your bow onto mine in SYH![]()
If you are in a hurry, I have (at SYH) the gun, the grease and the M6 nipple which I believe works on the Maxprop but is for a Featherstream. Just checking Darglow's website and the nipple seems to be the same thing. You are welcome to this.

Ormy mrmeths end o haul out lobsThere is something almost obscenely pleasurable in pumping away at the grease gun until the old grease gets forced out of the various joints. Wonderful bit of kit, the Maxprop.
Stainless ones are a bit dearer, but you could leave them in place and on a lot of boats you could grease the prop with the boat in the water. Sadly on my boat the prop was well forward and I could not reach it.If you lose the nipple (!) 6mm ones are available for pennies from any bearing supplier.
If you leave one in place in the rear hole on a MaxProp the blade would hit it in use.Stainless ones are a bit dearer, but you could leave them in place and on a lot of boats you could grease the prop with the boat in the water. Sadly on my boat the prop was well forward and I could not reach it.
You are right. I never tried it because on the Jeanneau 452 the prop was too far to reach. I had some low profile stainless ones that I fitted to the gooseneck and elsewhere and only gave up the idea of trying them on the prop because I am not a strong enough swimmer to get down there. If you leave one in place in the rear hole on a MaxProp the blade would hit it in use.
Blake seacock grease is what you. Red a pot wlasf. Any sdasl sYou might find some suggestions here:
MaxProp grease
The easy option of course is the stuff from Darglow (I’m still using their stuff that came with the boat) but I’m sure there are more cost effective options.
